This multi-level garden project in Bloxham, near Banbury, uses a clever “step” design to connect a large patio with a small rear gateway at the foot of slope. The new design showcases the popular Coastal Mix paving from our exclusive natural paving collection.

The homeowners asked us to completely remove the old patio and pathway paving, which had become jaded and unsafe. They wanted to keep the same overall design but with a refreshing new look. After browsing our natural paving stone range, they decided on AWBS Coastal Mix Indian sandstone due to its stunning blend of natural tones, durability, and size variety.

At the start of the project, we dug up and disposed of the old paving and laid a new bed of mortar on top. We then arranged the slabs in a random pattern, cutting the slabs that run along the fence to match the diagonal proportions of the garden. Next, we build gradual steps down to the rear gateway, using brickwork underneath. Lastly, we paved a small area adjacent to the gate for the homeowners to put their wheely bins.

The end result is a stunning new garden paving project that sticks faithfully to the original design. If you are interested in a brand new patio or garden paving solution, speak to our friendly team or visit one of our showrooms in Yarnton, Swindon and Oxford.
