Conversion of a front garden into a driveway for two vehicles with perimeter flowerbeds.
Renewal was the watchword for this recent driveway renovation in Yarnton, Oxfordshire. The clients wanted to completely transform their tired old front garden and replace it with a spacious driveway big enough for two cars.
The first task was to select an attractive block paving for the main driveway area. After browsing our extensive block paving range, the homeowners plumped for Brett Omega block paving in Brindle. To compliment the mellow brown blocks, they chose a contrast border course to run along its curved edges. We also integrated a semi-circular step by the front door, demarcated by black stones.
The homeowners were keen to preserve an area for flowerbeds, which we positioned at the far edges of the driveway. After installing the main block paving area, we put a fresh layer of soil in the assigned bedding area to allow the homeowners to grow their plants right away. Finally, we laid a small area of decorative gravel to add a touch of style.
By the end of the 5-day project, we had successfully refreshed the front of the house and enhanced the property’s kerb appeal. Crucially, there is now plenty of space for two vehicles to park outside.
