Garden makeover with new fencing, retaining walls and Millboard composite decking
This Didcot resident requested that we spruce up their rear garden with new decking and an extensive boundary fence to provide garden privacy. With this in mind, our experienced landscaping team created curved timber retaining walls to accommodate the change in ground levels and installed a large Millboard composite decking area.
When tasked with creating an inviting low-maintenance garden, as Millboard approved decking contractors, the AWBS Landscaping team knew that Millboard Decking in Golden Oak was the ideal project pick. A practical alternative to real timber, this form of composite is designed to look and feel like wood – without the added risk of rotting, warping or fading. Easy to install and maintain, this smart Millboard offering requires nothing more than a general sweep and occasional wash to keep it ship-shape.
After clearing away overgrown shrubs and broken fencing, the foundations and frame for the Millboard composite decking were laid. Then, the site was ready for the installation of the new fencing with concrete posts and gravel boards giving extra stability and longevity. Next, timber retaining walls and flower beds were created using 150mm diameter timber palisades. Last but not least, the non-porous, anti-fungal and UV light resistant decking was added.
This rear garden underwent a complete makeover, which has left it looking fantastic. As well as achieving a garden with privacy, the AWBS Landscaping team has provided the clients with a non-slip outdoor space that is as safe as it is stylish. With details including decorative shingle, lattice trellis panels and the warmly characterful golden oak look, we are sure you will agree this Didcot landscaping and garden revamp is a sight for sore eyes.
