This recent project in Whitney, Oxfordshire, was all about continuity. The homeowners were fond of their existing circular two-tier patio area, but rather less enamoured with its jaded concrete. We were brought in to freshen up the patio and garden with new, contemporary products without changing the essential layout.

The customers were clear in wanting a natural slate paving for their new patio. After browsing our range of paving, they settled on AWBS Brazilian Slate in 600x600mm. Boasting a mixture of dark blue and grey slate tones, these paving slabs take on an almost black colour when wet. As for the patio edges, we suggested using the ever-popular Brett Omega block pavers in Charcoal – ideal for the circular design.

The second part of the project involved replacing the old garden fences and covering the rest of the area with mulch. After completing the patio, our installers removed both fences and built 16 linear metres of new close board fencing. We then covered the remaining areas with an even bed of classic bark mulch.

Overall, the job took 9 days to complete. The result is a clean, stylish patio and garden that stays true to the original design so loved by the homeowners. If you are interested in a circular or multi-tiered patio, get in touch with our friendly team.
